CHILDHOOD HEROES: “Conan [smiles].”

FAVORITE TV SHOWS: “Don’t have one.”

MUSICAL TASTES: “Again, not really a favorite, just current tunes, hip-hop.”

FIRST JOB: “I guess, technically, refereeing ice hockey. In Oakland, Bay area, Berkley.”

FIRST CAR: “A 1972 Dodge Dart (white).”

CURRENT CAR: “2008 Jetta (black). And a sponsored vehicle I might add, from Desert Volkswagen, thank you very much.”

FIRST FIGHTING MEMORY: “I guess my first weigh-in at my first fight. I remember a couple of things. I remember getting in the cage, looking across and he was doing the mad dog face. And I kinda smiled at him. And his face went flat. It felt like he kind of already broke. He definitely broke when I started hitting him in the first minute, minute-thirty.”

CHILDHOOD DREAM: “Professional athlete. Now I’m living my dream. (What sport?) Before this – hockey and baseball were the main ones.”

MOST PAINFUL MOMENT(S): “I guess my only loss.”

WORST INJURY: “No real bad injuries. Can’t really think of one, just bumps and bruises here and there. A cut is like the only one.”

FAVORITE FIGHTERS TO WATCH: “Everybody on my team. They’re all exciting. GSP, Randy Couture, all the freaks of nature in this sport.”

BEST FIGHT YOU’VE SEEN: “I guess, recently, Terry Martin and Chris Leben. That was a crazy fight.”

FUNNY MEMORY: “I guess going to Cabo with Bas and all the Anacondas, going fishing with them for three days straight was fun. ”

EMBARRASSING MEMORY: “I don’t remember one.”

YOUR FINEST PERFORMANCE(S): “My last fight (vs. Thiago Tavares). Just because I was simply in great shape. I could have gone two or three more rounds.”

TOUGHEST MAN FACED: “Probably Urijah Faber. Because I hit him with a lot of shots. Dropped him in the first round. I was really impressed with how tough the guy was.”

LAST VACATION: “Was houseboating on Lake Mead.”

PEOPLE QUALITIES MOST ADMIRED: “Just honest, hard-working individuals pretty much.”
